Maury County Employment

Maury County’s unemployment rate continued to drop in December. The latest figures show Maury County with a 10.6% unemployment rate compared to 11.1% in November.
There were 3,690 people without jobs while 31,260 people were working .
Columbia’s jobless rate was also down at 11.5%. Its dropped from 12.1% in November . A year ago the rate was 15.3%. 1,620 are still without jobs out of a labor force of 14,100. Spring Hill’s unemployment rate is 7.8% down from 8 percent. 1,080 are unemployment out of a labor force of 13,820.
Other surrounding county unemployment figures in December, Giles 9.4%, Hickman 9.8%, Lawrence 11.1%, Marshall 12.2%, Lewis 10.5%, and Williamson 5.4%.
