New Traffic Signal On Hampshire Pike

Beginning Thursday, March 1st, a new traffic signal installed on the Hampshire Pike, at the intersection with Oak Park Drive  and College Park Drive, will begin operating.
The traffic signal was recommended to improve safety for school schildren and other pedestrians attempting to walk between the YMCA of Columbia, Baker Elementary, and Whitthorne Middle Schools.  In addition, the new signal should assist drivers attempting to turn onto Hampshire Pike from either Oak Springs Drive or College Park Drive.

Funds was provided by a federal grant from the Safe Routes to School Program, administered by the State of Tennessee.
