The Maury County water department Monday presented its budget to the county commission that includes a 5 year plan to extend water lines in north Maury County and build a new office building.
Growth in Spring Hill prompted the water department plan for expansion of water lines east of I-65. Water department head Larry Chunn said it’s in their service area. He said in order to move a vast amount of water, they need larger pipe lines.
The Water department also has budgeted $2.3-million dollars over 2 years to build an office building on highway 50 east of Columbia. It calls for a two story 10,000 square foot building.
