Maury County Unemployment Drops

Maury County unemployment drops to 9.6% in March down .7% the previous month and down from 13.3%, a year ago.

The 9.6% rate reflected numbers showing 32,110 working  and 3,430 jobless out of a work force of 35,530.   Columbia’s unemployment drops to 10% in March, down from 11% in February. Columbia’s jobless rate was 14.4% a year ago. There are 1,470 unemployed.  Spring Hills unemployment is 6.8% in April, down .1%.  14,070 are working and 1,030 unemployed.  

Tennessee’s unemployment in March was down to 7.9%. Williamson County has the lowest unemployment in the state with a rate of 5.2%.
